Issued 3:30 PM NST 15 December 2017 Tonight and Saturday At 3:30 p.m. NST today low 962 mb located over northern Labrador.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Saturday merging low 972 mb located over Labrador
Sea.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today intensifying low 965 mb located over
southeastern Labrador Sea.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Saturday merging low 955 mb located over northern
Labrador Sea.

By 3:00 a.m. NST Saturday approaching low 996 mb located south of
Nova Scotia.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:27 PM NST 15 December 2017 A weakening low pressure system over Northern Labrador will move
slowly northeastward this evening. A second intensifying system over
the Southeastern Labrador Sea will move northwestward to merge with
the first low over the Northern Labrador Sea tonight. Gale to storm
force southwesterlies can be expected over most waters tonight in the
wake of both lows.

A third intense low pressure system will approach from the southwest
to pass just southeast of the Avalon Peninsula on Saturday evening.
North of the low, gale force northeasterlies will shift to gale to
storm force northwesterlies. To its south, gale force southeasterlies
will veer to gale to storm force southwesterlies.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
the Strait of Belle Isle, East Coast - Cape St. Francis and south,
Belle Isle Bank, and the Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in effect for
all remaining waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, and Belle Isle Bank.
